JONATHAN ELKANA SORITUA ARUAN, S.H., M.H.

Jonathan obtained his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from Atma Jaya Catholic University, Jakarta in 2018 and obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M) degree majoring in business law from Trisakti University, Jakarta in 2024. During his study, he joined (i) Consultation and Legal Assistance Centre at Atma Jaya Catholic University, as an assistant lawyer; and (ii) Corruption Eradication Commission (Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi or “KPK”), as an intern staff for KPK’s trial proceedings.

Since joining the Firm in 2018, he has been handling various legal matters in relation to the Indonesian and foreign companies’ transactions, including general corporate and commercial matters, real estate, intellectual property, employment, healthcare, foreign investment and litigation matters.

Jonathan is a qualified Indonesian advocate and is a member PERADI.

In addition to his professional work as a lawyer, on the social side, he is a Chief of Legal Aid of Indonesian Christian Church (Gereja Kristen Indonesia or GKI) Serpong. He actively organizes free seminar, legal consultation and assistance for the church’s congregation.

On the sport side, he is a road and trail runner who often competes in running events. He was a finisher at many major running events in Indonesia, among others Pocari Sweat Run, Maybank Marathon, Jakarta Marathon (road running), Rinjani 100 – Lombok (trail running) and many more.
